Balearic Islands Shelf and Slope assigned Important Marine Mammal Area status!
Great news! The IUCN Marine Mammal Protected Areas Task Force has published an e-atlas listing our Balearic Islands Shelf and Slope proposal as a full “Important Marine Mammal Area’ (IMMA) – hopefully this new status will give new impetus to the campgain to establish real protections for this vulnerable population.
